The screening of the film "7.10: The Judea and Samaria Version" on Channel 14, which revealed chilling footage and classified documents about the Palestinian Authority army being built in the heart of the country, sparked a major storm in the political system and security agencies. The film demonstrated how the Oslo Accords birthed an armed and trained force right under the nose of the security establishment, and triggered a wave of sharp reactions demanding to dismantle the terror authority.
The Judea and Samaria District of the police responded to the film by stating that as part of the lessons learned from October 7, the district is preparing for any scenario to protect the settlements in Judea and Samaria, while providing a combined and coordinated response with the IDF against all threats in the sector. The police noted that with the support of the Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir and the Police Commissioner, several measures were carried out, including the establishment of the Gilad sector along the eastern border, reinforcement of YASAM forces, patrol and traffic units, and the establishment of First Response Units (YATAR) in the settlements, to which over 250 volunteers have already been recruited for rapid transition in routine and emergency situations.
Knesset member Avichai Boaron reacted sharply to the revealed content and said that the film "7.10: The Judea and Samaria Version" created by Elia Aviv is not just a film, but a warning sign. Boaron noted that he has been warning for three years about the dangerous conception of the security establishment and its treatment of the Palestinian Authority as a "partner," while an armed and dangerous force was being built right under its nose. According to him, "the question is not whether they will try to recreate October 7, but when," and added that where there is an armed Palestinian army, there is no security for Israel.
Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir also issued a firm statement following the exposure and said that the Authority is a terror supporter and should be treated as such, and it is certainly not a partner for an imagined "peace." The minister emphasized that the footage revealed by Elia Aviv proves that weapons not in the hands of the IDF are weapons in the hands of the enemy, and complimented the Judea and Samaria District under the command of Nitzav Moshe Pinchi and the volunteers of the rapid response units who work hand in hand with the settlements. Ben Gvir added a political warning and noted that Yair Golan and Mansour Abbas, who embrace the murderous Authority, are just waiting for elections to establish a Palestinian state in the heart of the country, and that he will not allow it.
Minister of Finance and Minister in the Ministry of Defense Bezalel Smotrich stated in response that as he has warned for the last four years and as can be seen in Elia Aviv's important film, a scenario of a massacre originating from Judea and Samaria is a real threat to the country's security. Smotrich clarified that the terrorists of the Palestinian Authority can at any time go out to Ra'anana and Kfar Saba using a huge and dangerous army.
The Minister of Finance detailed the preventive measures being taken, including fortifying the settlements and establishing 104 settlements and over 160 farms that constitute a security belt for the central cities, and called to dismantle the terror authority immediately and launch a large-scale operation to collect weapons and cleanse the refugee camps. "The danger at the doorstep is clear. As long as a right-wing government is in power – we will stand against the PA and fortify Israel's security," concluded Minister Smotrich.
Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, responded: "The government of Israel must internalize: The Palestinian Authority is an enemy! A bitter, evil, and murderous enemy. The Palestinian Authority is the greatest financier of terrorists and its senior officials have turned October 7 into an inspiration model. Hamas are terrorists with a green headband on their forehead – and Fatah are Nazi terrorists in a suit and tie.
"The important exposure by Elia Aviv on Channel 14 proves clearly that if we bury our heads in the sand – the result could be clear: a second October 7 massacre – from Judea and Samaria to the central cities, which could endanger the very existence of the State of Israel. The Palestinian Authority has built, under the auspices of the agreements that are absurdly called 'peace agreements,' a large, trained, and strong army that endangers the existence of the State of Israel."
Dagan further stated: "The State of Israel must understand that this is an enemy that endangers its existence and change its mindset regarding it. The State of Israel must strengthen with all its might the settlements in Judea and Samaria – the protective belt of the State of Israel and the central guarantee for preventing a second October 7 massacre. As long as we continue to bury our heads in the sand, we are endangering the existence of the State of Israel. No less."
