Market activity was heavily driven by notable performances among leading equities, alongside shifting macroeconomic conditions and new index compositions. Israel Canada led the winning equities with an 11.54% surge to 1,160 agorot, following a series of major international luxury hotel transactions finalized during the week. Lahav followed with a 9.06% increase to 1,047 agorot, while RP Optical gained 8.07% to 3,188 agorot. Nova added 7.29% to reach 97,690 agorot, and Telesis rounded out the top gainers with a 6.27% rise to 30,500 agorot.

Market Drivers and New Index Compositions
Trading sentiment received a boost from rising domestic political optimism regarding potential government formation prospects, which underpinned local performance. Furthermore, Friday marked the debut of the updated index compositions, with El Al Israel Airlines and Doral Energy officially entering the TA-35 index for the first time.
Meanwhile, foreign exchange markets saw the US dollar climb past the 3.22 shekel threshold earlier in the session, reaching its highest level since December 2025 before paring gains to trade around 3.21 shekels. The currency fluctuation followed sharp overnight losses on Wall Street amid tech sector concerns and local geopolitical uncertainty, directly impacting import costs and overseas transactions for local consumers.
