Insurance stocks on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange continue to deliver stellar performances in 2026, though gains are unevenly distributed across the sector. Data through Monday's trading session shows that the top five insurance equities have surged by over 46%, with one leading firm more than doubling its market value.

Ayalon Insurance leads the sector with a remarkable 120.33% surge since the beginning of the year. The company operates across general insurance, health, and life insurance sectors, and is controlled by the Wobi Group. Notably, Ayalon's performance vastly outpaces its parent company, Worshare Globaltech, which posted a modest 23.19% gain, ranking eighth among sector equities.

Taking second place is Harel Insurance & Finance, one of Israel's largest financial groups, with a 66% increase. Harel maintains a broad footprint in general insurance, life and health coverage, pensions, provident funds, and investment management, though it trails Ayalon by a significant margin.

Digital insurer Libra secures third place with a 53.78% return. Founded in 2018 by Eti Elishkov, the tech-focused direct insurer specializes in auto, home, and general coverage, successfully competing alongside established market heavyweights.

Clal Insurance and Finance ranks fourth with a 49.97% surge. Clal operates across diverse insurance and long-term savings segments while also holding credit card company MAX, providing distinct exposure to consumer credit and digital payments. Phoenix Holdings rounds out the top five with a 46.39% increase, reflecting robust performance across asset management, pensions, and traditional insurance lines.
