South Tel Aviv Undercover Operation Leads to Eight Drug Indictments
Undercover police operations in south Tel Aviv have resulted in drug trafficking indictments against eight suspects, including five individuals accused of dealing heroin and cocaine.
An undercover police operation in south Tel Aviv led to the indictment of eight suspects on drug trafficking charges, including five women. The two undercover officers were deployed by the Sharet police station in the Ayalon region as part of a targeted campaign against drug distribution hubs in the southern part of the city.
During the investigation, the officers operated as undercover agents and conducted multiple drug transactions with various suspects. Concurrently, investigators gathered evidence linking the suspects to dozens of drug-selling operations conducted at known illicit distribution centers.
According to the police, the suspects trafficked in large quantities of heroin and cocaine, selling the substances to various clients, including foreign nationals residing in south Tel Aviv. Following the transition from a covert investigation to an overt phase, all eight suspects were arrested and transferred for questioning.
Upon completion of the police investigation, formal indictments charging the suspects with drug trafficking offenses were filed today. Alongside the indictments, prosecutors submitted requests to keep the defendants in custody until the conclusion of all legal proceedings.
