Tal Friedman and Orna Banai Reunite in New Comedy Series
Comedian Tal Friedman returns to TV in the new Kan 11 comedy series "Anashim ShePagashti," reuniting with former Eretz Nehederet star Orna Banai for an unforgettable on-screen collaboration.

Actor and comedian Tal Friedman is returning to television screens in the new comedy series "Anashim ShePagashti" (People I Met), premiering on September 21 on Kan 11. Based on Matan Helek's book "People I Met in My Imagination," the show revolves around the quirky characters at the "Simi Center" commercial hub in neighborhood Aleph of Beersheba.
Alongside Friedman, who portrays "Popeye the Exterminator"—a role written specially for him—the cast features a stellar lineup of comedians including Orna Banai, Dana Ivgy, Yaniv Biton, and Eli Ben David. For Friedman and Banai, the project marks an exciting professional reunion, bringing them together on screen for the first time since their glory days on Eretz Nehederet.
In a recent interview, Friedman shared a surprising and amusing detail from the set, revealing that he and Banai share an unexpected romantic scene. "I have an erotic scene with Orna, right on the table in her shop," Friedman smiled. "We always joked that it was meant to be."
Despite the years that have passed since their last joint TV venture, Friedman emphasized that their close friendship has endured. "Working with Orna is full-circle closure," he shared. "We haven't worked together since Eretz, but we are great friends and love each other."
