Tahini Al-Zaeem Recalls Products Nationwide Due to Salmonella Contamination
Tahini Al-Zaeem recalls all sizes of its traditional tahini products after salmonella contamination was detected. Consumers are urged not to consume the affected items.

Tahini Al-Zaeem has announced a voluntary recall of its tahini products following the detection of salmonella bacteria in laboratory tests. The Ministry of Health's Northern District Food Service reported that the items were imported and distributed in violation of regulatory requirements.
The recall affects all sizes of Tahini Al-Zaeem products labeled as "Tahini Shel Paam" (Traditional Tahini). The affected batches include production dates up to October 1, 2026, inclusive, and expiration dates up to October 1, 2027, inclusive.
Consumers possessing these products are strongly advised not to consume them. The company, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, is currently removing the items from retail shelves. Salmonella can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal cramps, posing severe risks to high-risk populations.
