Syrian Druze in As-Suwayda Hold Solidarity Rally for Israel

Residents of the Druze city of As-Suwayda in southern Syria held a solidarity rally with Israel on Wednesday, commemorating the October 7 massacre. The demonstration featured the hoisting of Israeli and Druze flags, alongside a portrait of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

According to local sources, dozens gathered in the city square to honor the Israeli victims killed by Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups. Participants also displayed images of Druze victims from the massacres carried out against them by Islamist forces in the summer of 2025.

Banners expressed support for Israel, including a photo of Netanyahu with the caption "The Druze in the Bashan support you," alongside portraits of local spiritual leader Sheikh Hikmat al-Hijri and the spiritual leader of the Druze in Israel, Mowafaq Tarif.
