On a flight to Israel: The antisemitic note a passenger discovered in her suitcase

An Israeli passenger discovered an antisemitic message in her suitcase this week during a flight from Seattle to Tel Aviv. Noa Savar-Dabouskin, a 48-year-old Los Angeles resident who moved to Israel, found the note last Monday while unpacking her belongings. The note, written in capital letters, contained the slur "F Israel".

Dabouskin said she felt "frightened and uncomfortable" and experienced a "sense of disgust" upon seeing the note. She made sure her children, aged 9 to 16, would not see the threatening message. Following the incident, she reported it to the American aviation authorities, the Department of Homeland Security, and the US Embassy in Israel.

The American organization StopAntisemitism responded sharply to the event, asking: "What if next time the same person places explosives in a suitcase?". The incident joins a similar event that occurred about six months ago, when an El Al flight from Los Angeles to Tel Aviv was delayed after "Free Palestine" stickers were found on equipment at the airport.
