Price Gaps Revealed: Five Everyday Products Cost More at Super-Pharm

It is no secret that prices at Super-Pharm are significantly inflated compared to the rest of the market. A daily market check conducted by C14 exposes stark price differences between Super-Pharm and competing pharmacies and major supermarket chains, highlighting how a lack of price comparison can cost consumers dearly.

To help consumers combat the rising cost of living, the daily review highlights five household products and compares their prices across retail chains:

  • Sano Ritzpaz Plus Floor Cleaner (2 Liters): Sold at Be Pharm for 25.90 NIS, while Super-Pharm charges 25.90 NIS.

  • Sano Anti-Kalk 4-in-1 General Cleaner (700 ml): Priced at 17.90 NIS at Be Pharm, compared to 18.90 NIS at Super-Pharm.

  • Sano Ritzpaz Fresh Home Melon Scent Floor Cleaner (2 Liters): Available at Be Pharm for 19.90 NIS, whereas Super-Pharm charges 22.90 NIS.

  • Colgate Smiles Toothpaste for Ages 2-5 (50 ml): Surprisingly priced at 18.90 NIS at Be Pharm, while Super-Pharm sells it for 13.90 NIS.

  • Pnina Rosenblum Pink Pearl Liquid Soap (1 Liter): Sold at Be Pharm for 15.20 NIS, compared to 19.90 NIS at Super-Pharm.

The Consumer Impact of Price Discrepancies

The numbers speak for themselves: shopping at Super-Pharm often involves systematic overcharging on household goods. For Israeli consumers struggling with a high cost of living, unvetted purchases at pharmacy chains represent a consistently unfavorable financial deal.

Super-Pharm declined to comment on the findings.
