Eighth-Grade Student Stabbed at School, Hospitalized in Moderate Condition
An eighth-grade student was stabbed in the leg by a classmate at a school and evacuated to Soroka Medical Center in moderate condition. The family sharply criticized the school administration's handling of the incident.

An eighth-grade student, approximately 14 years old, was stabbed in the leg this morning (Wednesday), allegedly by another student at school. The boy was evacuated to Soroka Medical Center in moderate condition.
The boy's aunt wrote in a Facebook post: "This morning at 09:30 my nephew arrived at school and during recess was stabbed in the leg and evacuated to Soroka Medical Center."
The boy's uncle stated that as a result of the stabbing, his nephew suffered injuries to a muscle and two veins. According to him, "A 30-centimeter kitchen knife was found on his friend. He was arrested for a few hours and released to 15 days of house arrest and a 30-day expulsion."
Family members sharply criticized the school's conduct following the incident. They claim the boy himself called the police, and was later asked to return to the school grounds. They also claimed the school principal did not summon the police or conduct a sufficient investigation.
The family stated the principal even told the boy: "This is not my event, I don't care," and claimed he was injured by a piece of iron he sat on. These are family claims that have not yet received a response from the school or the Ministry of Education.
The uncle raised another claim regarding the school's security cameras. He said, "All school cameras worked, except for the smoking area where the boy was stabbed. The camera there doesn't work because students smoke, and they claim the students disconnected the camera themselves."
