Suspected Rape of Two Girls in HaAmakim: Detainees Deny Allegations
A 21-year-old man and two minors have been arrested on suspicion of raping two women from the North. One suspect admitted to sexual relations but claimed they were consensual.
Two women from the North have filed a complaint alleging they were raped in an apartment in the HaAmakim area. According to the police investigation, the five individuals met in the North before moving to an apartment where, the victims claim, the assault took place.
On Tuesday evening, police arrested three suspects—a 21-year-old man and two minors—and brought them in for questioning. All suspects have denied the allegations against them.
The attorney for one of the minor suspects, a 17-year-old, stated that his client admitted to having sexual relations but insisted that they were consensual.
A court hearing is scheduled for tomorrow to discuss extending the remand of the adult suspect, who is represented by attorney Karin Lagtiov. Police have not yet decided whether to request an extension of detention for the two younger suspects. The hearings will be held behind closed doors.
