Suspected 'price tag' attack in the Palestinian village of Ustrin: building set on fire, vehicle torched and graffiti

A suspected serious nationalist crime occurred today (Sunday) in the Palestinian village of Ustrin. Village residents woke up to the arson of a building, the burning of a vehicle, and graffiti throughout the village. Photos show graffiti with the inscriptions 'Revenge 30 for Bnayahu' and 'Death to the enemy, freedom to the homeland'.

A report on the matter was received by the police, an investigation has been opened, and police forces are preparing to enter the location accompanied by IDF forces.

The reference is likely to Bnayahu Melet, a member of the standby squad and agricultural manager at Havat Gilad, who was murdered in a shooting attack near Havat Gilad last month. In the same incident, Major Yuval Ezra, 27, from Herzliya, a battery commander in the Artillery Corps, was killed.

A few days later, a mosque was burned in Qusra, near Samaria. On the entrance wall to the site, the inscription 'Revenge for Bnayahu' was sprayed along with a Star of David. In addition, five vehicles were torched in the village of Beitillu. Also, near Khirbet Abu Falah, tractors and trucks were set on fire, where two wounded Palestinians were evacuated to the hospital, having apparently been injured by blows they received.

A few days later, clashes were recorded near Nablus, after a group of Israelis entered the area of the village of Tell in Samaria, near the place where Bnayahu Melet was murdered, and from there continued towards the outskirts of the city of Nablus. According to the IDF, Palestinians threw stones at the Israelis, and one of them fired into the air. There were no casualties. Meanwhile, according to a report by IDF forces, several Israeli citizens vandalized a cemetery in the area.
