Poll: Public opinion on Likud reserved spots and Mossad chief's decisions

According to a Channel 14 poll broadcast on Monday evening, 42% of respondents believe that the decisions of the Central Elections Committee Chairman, Judge Noam Sohlberg, regarding reporting from polling stations and voting by Israelis abroad, assist the opposition. An identical rate, 42%, believe that the decisions do not assist either of the political blocs. 11% did not express an opinion, and only 5% believe they assist the coalition.

In the Likud sector, the picture is more positive for the party: surprisingly, 43% of those asked say that PM Benjamin Netanyahu's reserved spots and the upgrading of the list of candidates in the primaries will increase the likelihood that they will vote for Likud. 34% say the moves will not affect their decision, 17% claim they will actually decrease the chance of voting for the party, and 6% do not see themselves as relevant to the question.

Also, regarding the question of Mossad chief Roman Gofman, an almost completely equal split was obtained. 44% believe that Gofman was wrong when he removed senior officials in the organization linked to the failure of the plan to change the regime in Iran, compared to 43% who believe he was right. 13% did not express an opinion.

As is known, Gofman took office as head of the Mossad in June 2026 and has since carried out significant changes in the organization's leadership. Among other things, he announced the end of the tenure of the Deputy Head of the Mossad, A., who served in the organization for 22 years and was considered a possible candidate to replace Dadi Barnea, and removed two other department heads responsible for the failure of the plan to overthrow the regime in Iran.
