"If you don't give me money for drugs - I will kill you": Threatened his father with a knife hours after his release

A 24-year-old resident of Tuba-Zangariyye is accused of threatening to kill his father if he did not give him money for drugs, just a few hours after being released under restrictive conditions that forbade him from approaching him. According to the indictment, he broke the house door, entered while armed with a knife, and later even tried to escape from the police who arrived at the scene.

The incident began on August 18, when a report was received by the police regarding threats and an assault by a son against his father. Northern District police officers arrived at the scene and arrested the suspect, who was brought before the court the next day and released under restrictive conditions, including house arrest and a restraining order from his father.

However, just a few hours after his release, the defendant arrived at his father's house, in violation of the conditions set for him. According to the investigation materials, he began shouting at his father:

"If you don't give me money for drugs, I will kill you,"

broke the house door, entered, took a knife, and advanced toward him.

Police officers who arrived at the scene began searches to locate him. During the searches, the defendant noticed the police and tried to escape from them by running, but was caught and arrested.

It also emerged from the investigation materials that during his time in court, the defendant also threatened an investigator and told him:

"Wait, wait, when I get out I will f**k you and break your glasses."

At the end of the investigation, the Kiryat Shmona prosecution branch filed an indictment against the young man at the Kiryat Shmona Magistrate's Court, along with a request for his detention until the end of the proceedings.
