"If we are arrested - you are dead": Severe assault of a minor in Eilat

A severe violent incident has occurred in Eilat, where four minors assaulted another minor. Two of the suspects attempted to flee but were apprehended in another city. Indictments and requests for detention until the end of legal proceedings have been filed against the individuals involved.

Investigators from the Eilat police youth division concluded their investigation following extensive evidence gathering. Ten days ago, the four suspects—who were acquainted with the victim—met her in a public park. Upon noticing security cameras, they led the victim into a nearby alley, accusing her of damaging a mobile phone belonging to one of them.

The group pushed the victim into bushes, hitting her and pulling her hair while she lay on the ground. One suspect seized the victim's phone to prevent her from escaping. Despite attempts by passersby to intervene, the assault continued. When a witness called the police, one suspect threatened the victim:

"If we are arrested by the police, today you are dead."

The suspects then fled the scene, leaving the victim with bodily injuries. While two suspects were apprehended within hours, the other two attempted to escape to another city but were arrested the following day.

The investigation revealed that one suspect was under house arrest for a previous offense. When her mother tried to stop her from leaving, the minor attacked her, using a TV remote, a keyboard, and a comb to strike her, while also biting her mother's hand. The mother sustained injuries to her shoulder and back.

Indictments have been filed against the minors for group assault, assault causing bodily harm, and violation of a legal order. The Eilat police prosecution has requested that the suspects remain in custody until the conclusion of the legal proceedings.
