An innovative rehabilitation park tailored for senior citizens has been inaugurated at the Shoham Medical Center in Pardes Hanna. The park was established through the generous donation of Dorin and David Arison, via the Ted Arison Family Foundation, aiming to address the physical and mental challenges inherent in the rehabilitation process.
The Shoham Medical Center in Pardes Hanna, the largest government geriatric-rehabilitation hospital in Israel, unveiled the Na'im LeShiqum Park—a new therapeutic space specially adapted for the elderly population. The park is designed to add a new dimension to rehabilitation through activities in an open and pleasant environment.
Inauguration and Leadership Remarks
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dorin and David Arison, whose philanthropic contribution made the project possible, alongside businesswoman and philanthropist Shari Arison, who founded the family foundation in Israel.
"The decision to support the creation of this unique park stemmed from the desire to help the Shoham Medical Center provide patients, alongside existing optimal care, with the opportunity to undergo additional rehabilitation in an open, inviting, and pleasant place for both patients and their families," Dorin and David Arison stated.
Dr. Tami Porat Pecker, director of the Shoham Medical Center, emphasized the clinical value of the new space during the ceremony, noting that it empowers patients, boosts motivation for movement, and provides a significant added value to the ongoing rehabilitation challenges.
