Tel Aviv to Host 10th Annual Shneor Cheshin Challenge Race at Yarkon Park
Hundreds are expected to participate tomorrow in the 10th annual Shneor Cheshin Challenge Race at Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv, organized by the Etgarim association.
Hundreds of participants are expected to take part tomorrow (Friday) at Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv in the tenth annual Shneor Cheshin Challenge Race. Cheshin was killed in 2010 in a hit-and-run accident while cycling as part of training for an Ironman competition.
The race, starting from Beit Shneor, will bring together hundreds of members and volunteers from the Etgarim association who participate throughout the year in running and walking groups operated by the organization across the country. A ceremony with Cheshin's family and close friends will be held at the conclusion of the event.
"A decade of the Shneor Race is a special moment for us, expressing in practice Shneor's great belief in the human spirit and love for every person," said Etgarim CEO Nir HaCohen. "We are proud to continue this tradition with hundreds of members and volunteers." Founded in 1995, Etgarim works to integrate and empower children and adults with disabilities through extreme sports in nature, and during the war opened dedicated groups for the physically and mentally wounded.
