'Shimshon of Brands' injured in a chase after his motorcycle thieves: "It's a miracle I'm alive"
Ilan Tabib, known for his brand store promotions, said he was involved in a traffic accident while chasing youths who stole his motorcycle. According to him, while he was lying injured on the road, his wristwatch was also stolen from him.
Ilan Tabib, owner of a clothing and shoe store in Rishon LeZion and known as "Shimshon Brandim" (Shimshon of Brands), became famous thanks to his TikTok videos in which he announced sales celebrations for a wide range of items.
Yesterday, Monday, he was injured during a chase after two young men who, according to him, stole a motorcycle parked near his store in Rishon LeZion. Tabib was taken to the hospital for treatment, suffering from numerous bruises, a shattered shoulder, and rib injuries. Later, he uploaded a video to his social media and told exactly what happened. According to him, while he was lying on the road injured and unconscious, his expensive watch was also stolen from his hand. Tabib has since been released from the hospital and filed a complaint with the police regarding the accident and the theft.
"Suddenly I heard my employee shouting: 'Ilan, Ilan, they are stealing your motorcycle.' Right before our eyes. I jumped on an old motorcycle and chased them to the left towards Bat Yam. From there, I don't remember anything," Tabib shared in the video.
According to him, the employee who noticed the two young men tampering with the new motorcycle he had recently purchased called him to check the incident, which caused him to start the chase. During the chase, a car hit Tabib's motorcycle, and he lost control and crashed on the road.
"Thank God for the miracle that happened to me and for the miracle that I am alive, breathing, and talking. To the sweet person who 'took' the watch off my hand while I was unconscious: everything is filmed, everything is documented, so you better return the watch. A person without consciousness, lying on the road... she took the watch off my hand," he continued, describing the shocking event.
As recalled, Tabib recently got into trouble with the police following suspicion of employing illegal aliens. During a raid on the store, the Israel Police caught four illegal aliens at the business who were allegedly employed there. As a result, Ilan Tabib was arrested, and the police issued an administrative closure order for the store.
