Shas Spiritual Leader Warns Against Voting for Temple Mount Ascents
Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef issued a harsh warning against voting for parties supporting Temple Mount ascents, targeting Itamar Ben Gvir and Otzma Yehudit.

The spiritual leader of Shas, Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef, published a sharp letter on Sunday warning the public against voting for parties that support ascending the Temple Mount. The remarks are directed, among others, at Otzma Yehudit, the party led by National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.
In his letter, Rabbi Yosef stated that visiting the Temple Mount is strictly forbidden under Jewish law and warned that anyone voting for such a party bears grave halachic responsibility. He emphasized that helping these political factions and their representatives violates religious law completely.
