Shas Awaits Election Results at Empty Headquarters as Deri Praises Supporters
At midnight, the Shas headquarters remained empty as activists awaited final election results. Campaign officials projected confidence, citing an estimated 400,000 votes and potential for 10 mandates.

At midnight, the main hall at the Shas party headquarters stood empty, devoid of supporters or party representatives, despite bright lights and upbeat music playing in the background. The planned activist rally for the evening was canceled, with party officials announcing it would be rescheduled until after the release of official election results.
Campaign Confidence Amid Empty Halls
Despite the stark atmosphere and the echoing slogan "Shas is your home" in an empty room, campaign officials sought to project strong confidence. In a statement to the press, a campaign source asserted that despite an aggressive campaign and what was termed a poisoning machine from both the ultra-Orthodox sector and leftist circles involving tens of millions of shekels, Shas was once again proving its political strength.
According to the campaign's internal data, the movement secured approximately 400,000 votes, driven by high voter turnout in its traditional strongholds and among the traditional public, though these figures have not yet been independently verified. Early exit polls projected Shas winning 8 to 9 mandates, but campaign representatives expressed hope that the final count would push the total to 10 or more seats.
Aryeh Deri Expresses Gratitude
Earlier in the day, party sources reported a massive push to encourage voter turnout, led by community rabbis who mobilized local headquarters and participated in a morning Zoom conference with Shas leader Aryeh Deri.
In an official response, Aryeh Deri thanked hundreds of thousands of Israeli citizens from all sectors for choosing the path of faith and voting for Shas. Deri praised the Council of Torah Sages, community rabbis, Knesset representatives, and thousands of dedicated activists for their tireless efforts against an unprecedented smear campaign, urging supporters to rest and await the definitive election results.
