"Sharren Haskel gave inaccurate testimony for almost two million shekels"

Likud MK Hanoch Milwidsky launched a sharp attack today, Sunday, against MK Sharren Haskel in an interview with Boaz Golan, addressing the controversy surrounding the affidavit she submitted to the Supreme Court regarding the State Comptroller election process and her ongoing struggle to split from the National Right (Yamin Mamlakhti) faction.

At the beginning of his remarks, Milwidsky linked the legal maneuver to party funding:

"Sharren Haskel, one million eight hundred thirty-five thousand shekels. That is the amount a mandate brings in party funding. People have done things much more serious than writing, let's say in euphemistic terms, an inaccurate testimony to the court in exchange for much smaller sums. This is the Sharren Haskel event."

When asked by Boaz Golan if that is how he defines her affidavit, Milwidsky replied: "In very gentle terms." He further claimed that he also photographed his own vote during the State Comptroller election, but stated he did so solely on the advice of his media consultant to generate social media traffic.

He dismissed claims that MKs were forced to photograph their votes as "complete nonsense." Milwidsky suggested that Haskel waited until the deadline for splitting from the faction was near to attach the affidavit to her request, hoping to substantiate her claims for funding. "She has nothing that can really substantiate this money she wants to receive, this approval for the split. She tells the Supreme Court judges: 'Here, I am giving you material'."

Milwidsky also criticized the conduct of law enforcement: "What is amazing, actually not amazing, quite expected, is the diligence of Gali Baharav-Miara in this event. Immediately, within less than a week, they summoned her to give testimony, open testimony at the police, not an interrogation, heaven forbid."

The dispute centers on Haskel's claim that members of the New Hope (Tikva Hadasha) faction were required to document their votes. The Likud party has rejected these allegations. According to the public committee decision approved by the Knesset, a funding unit for the 26th Knesset elections stands at 1.835 million shekels—the figure cited by Milwidsky.
