Concertgoer Alleges Physical Assault and Slurs by Security at Tel Aviv Arena
A concertgoer at an Eyal Golan performance in Tel Aviv claims security guards hurled ethnic slurs at him and used physical violence after a minor dispute at the VIP lounge.
Thousands of fans filled the Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv on Tuesday to cheer for singer Eyal Golan. However, for Harel, a member of the audience, the musical celebration quickly turned into a nightmare involving verbal humiliation, curses, and physical violence by the venue's security guards.
Harel had purchased a ticket to the VIP lounge for 550 shekels, expecting a high-quality and enjoyable viewing experience. But as reported by Israel Hayom, a single moment during the show completely changed the picture when a sharp confrontation erupted between him and the patrolling security team.
According to Harel, it all began when he wanted to take a short break from sitting. 'I stood up for two minutes to catch some breath. The female guard didn't even ask me to move and called me a rotten Mizrahi,' he recounted with great frustration.
The incident did not stop there. According to Harel, another guard arrived and the situation rapidly escalated into physical violence. 'I was standing behind my chair and they threw it away. They were looking for trouble with us from the moment we arrived at the show,' Harel added.
This case once again highlights the sensitive issue of security team conduct at mass events and the thin line between maintaining public order and violence or abusive treatment toward paying spectators. No response was received from the security company.
