After 70 years of marriage, a woman was lying in bed over the weekend when her husband returned from the kitchen with a knife. A severe indictment was filed in the Magistrate's Court against a 91-year-old from Rishon LeZion, who is accused of stabbing his 91-year-old wife with kitchen knives after suspecting her of cheating on him.

The accused's wife testified:

"We were lying in bed and then suddenly he took out a knife and stabbed me several times in the hand, in the face, in the chest until the knife broke. With his other hand, he punched me in the face. At some point, part of the knife fell from his hand and I snatched the knife from his hands and threw it on the floor."

After that, the husband took another knife and stabbed her in the side, shoulder, and abdomen. The woman said:

"He pinned me to the wall and stabbed me many times. I couldn't escape. I was afraid he would kill me. At some point, I managed to escape to the stairwell and I shouted for help: 'Save me, my husband is murdering me.' My whole dress was full of blood. The neighbors saved me."

The woman was evacuated to the hospital and stated that her husband had been tracking her with cameras: "Lately he thinks I have a boyfriend and is constantly looking at the house cameras to check what I am doing. Everything you see on my body, he did." Neighbors confirmed they heard her shouting for help.

The husband was arrested and in his interrogation initially admitted: "I did it. I beat her," but later changed his version and claimed: "I don't remember anything. She beat me. I'm crazy. She is the one who beat me."

Now the husband is charged with wounding with a deadly weapon, and the prosecution is requesting to extend his detention until the end of legal proceedings, arguing that he poses a real danger to his wife.
