Rock singer and songwriter Sass Jordan has passed away at the age of 63. Jordan, whose rich musical career spanned nearly four decades, leaves behind a glorious rock legacy and hundreds of thousands of fans worldwide.
In an official statement published on the singer's social media pages, it was announced that she passed away over the weekend surrounded by her loving family. Her family paid an emotional tribute, describing her as an unrepeatable force of nature and an irreplaceable entity of light and joy. At this stage, her official cause of death has not been released.
Jordan was born in Birmingham, UK, and grew up in Montreal, Canada. She began her musical journey in the 1980s and quickly became a leading figure in the Canadian rock scene. Her debut album, "Tell Somebody", released in 1988, achieved massive success and earned her the prestigious Juno Award for Most Promising Female Vocalist of the Year in 1989. Over the years, she received numerous additional nominations for Best Female Artist.
In 1992, she released her second and highly successful album, "Racine", which featured massive hits such as "Make You a Believer" and firmly cemented her status as one of the great rock stars of her era. Throughout her four decades of activity, Jordan performed on the biggest stages, including her famous appearance at the massive SARS benefit concert in Toronto in 2003.
