Scandinavian Airlines to Resume Direct Copenhagen-Tel Aviv Flights
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) will resume direct flights between Copenhagen and Tel Aviv starting October 26, 2026. The carrier will operate four weekly flights using modern Airbus A320neo aircraft.
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has announced the resumption of its flights to Israel. Starting October 26, 2026, coinciding with the launch of the winter flight schedule, the major Northern European carrier will operate direct flights between Ben Gurion International Airport and its primary hub in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The return of SAS marks another step in the recovery of international air traffic at Ben Gurion Airport, featuring an expanded schedule compared to its previous operations.
In October 2025, the airline had resumed direct flights to Tel Aviv after an absence of more than a decade, operating only three weekly flights. However, a few months later, SAS was forced to completely freeze its Middle East operations due to the regional security situation.
Under the newly announced plan, SAS is not only returning to Israel but is also increasing its presence. The route will operate four times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturday evenings. The flights will be operated using modern Airbus A320neo aircraft, known for their fuel efficiency and reduced noise levels. Passengers will be able to choose between two service classes: Economy and Business.
