Without Haredim and Arabs: Avigdor Lieberman's political vision
Following a rise in recent polls, Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Lieberman has unveiled his plan for a new government, which includes a mandatory conscription law for all citizens and a two-term limit for the Prime Minister.
Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Lieberman has published his political vision for Israel on X, following polls that indicated his strengthening in the political system and a 27% suitability rating for the position of Prime Minister. In his post, Lieberman detailed a series of steps that would form the basis of the government he intends to establish if elected.
Lieberman stated his intention to form a "Zionist and national government" excluding both ultra-Orthodox and Arab parties. He declared that under his tenure, no settlements would be evacuated and no Palestinian state would be established. Regarding security, he pledged to achieve a decisive victory against Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Iran, arguing that the era of "security rounds" must end.
Furthermore, the Yisrael Beiteinu chairman addressed domestic issues, announcing plans to establish a state commission of inquiry into the events of October 7 and to promote a conscription law applicable to all citizens, including Jews, Muslims, Christians, Druze, and Circassians. According to his proposal, every 18-year-old would report to a recruitment center, where the IDF would determine whether they serve in the military or in civil service.
Lieberman also pledged to combat crime and protection rackets, reduce the number of government ministries, dismantle monopolies, and increase economic competition to address the cost of living. In education, he declared that state funding would be contingent upon the teaching of core curriculum subjects.
"This is how the State of Israel will look under my watch: We will establish a Zionist and national government - without the ultra-Orthodox parties and without the Arab parties. We will not evacuate any settlements and no Palestinian state will be established. We will achieve victory on all fronts - Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Iran. We will put an end to the era of rounds that Benjamin Netanyahu led to. We will immediately establish a state commission of inquiry into the massacre..."
Finally, Lieberman addressed the political and legal system, announcing that he would promote a referendum law to approve a constitution, limit the Prime Minister's tenure to two terms, and prevent Knesset members with an indictment from running for the office of Prime Minister.
