Without a 15-minute delay: Tel Aviv Stock Exchange removes historical lag
The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange is launching an app that will display real-time securities prices and provide data on movements by investor type, including "smart money."

Against the backdrop of a surge in retail investor activity and a sharp increase in trading volumes over the past two years, the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange is changing course. Through its new app, the exchange will for the first time allow the general public to view real-time data on the movements of all stocks—free of charge.
Until today, those who did not subscribe to professional trading systems were forced to view data via financial websites with a 15-minute delay.
Furthermore, the exchange has decided to grant the public direct access to "smart money" data—information regarding the activity of institutional bodies, foreign investors, and private individuals, which was previously accessible only to those who paid for it.
"This move is intended to make professional analysis tools and current information accessible to the general public, to deepen transparency in the capital market, and to place at the disposal of the public information and tools that were previously available mainly to professional bodies," the exchange explained.
The app will also allow users to receive selected company reports directly from the Maya notification site and track activity in options and futures. Additionally, the app will feature bond data, such as duration and yield to maturity, as well as performance indicators for mutual funds, including the Sharpe ratio and standard deviation.
The exchange is also integrating artificial intelligence for stock recommendations via the Bridgewise system, alongside automatic translation of Maya reports into English for the benefit of international investors.
A significant milestone
Itay Ben-Zeev, CEO of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, stated on Tuesday:
"The launch of the new app is a significant milestone in the stock exchange's commitment to make the Israeli capital market accessible to the entire public. For the first time, we are deepening transparency and allowing every investor free access to trading data in real-time, alongside advanced analysis tools that until now were available mainly to institutional investors."
"Displaying trading data in real-time is a vital component of an advanced and efficient capital market. Making information accessible to all investors in real-time empowers their ability to make informed decisions, respond to market developments, and manage their investments better."
