Shirtless, getting dressed at a gas station, and then vanishing: the last footage of Eldar Dayan

The last footage of Eldar Dayan shows him shirtless entering a gas station, getting dressed, and leaving with two friends. Police have determined that the blood found on the vehicle's shattered windshield does not belong to him, have ruled out kidnapping at this stage, and believe the incident began as a brawl between acquaintances.

Shirtless and appearing calm, Eldar Dayan enters the convenience store at the gas station at the Yarkonim junction. Moments later, he emerges dressed, exchanges a few words with two friends, and leaves on foot. Security cameras recorded these moments, which have since become the last known footage of the 23-year-old from Dimona, whose trail has since gone cold.

The footage was filmed minutes after the three abandoned the vehicle they were traveling in. According to a police source, Eldar is seen walking normally, with no visible signs of distress or injury.

The initial response was handled by Petah Tikva station officers, who arrived within minutes to conduct a full investigation, including forensics and traffic analysis. Only a week later, after a missing person report was filed in Dimona, were investigators able to link the two cases.

The incident began on July 18 at 17:13, when police received a report of three young men removing a license plate from a vehicle at the gas station and fleeing on foot. Officers found the vehicle's windshield shattered with bloodstains.

Investigators identified the vehicle's owner, a Dimona resident, via the serial number. A total of six people are involved in the affair. Laboratory tests confirmed that the blood on the windshield belongs to one of the detained suspects, not Eldar.

According to police, the evidence suggests a friendly incident that escalated from a minor argument into a fight and a chase. "There is no indication of a drug deal gone wrong or any other criminal background," a senior source stated. However, since some participants are not fully cooperating, the full picture remains unclear.

The investigation also revealed that the vehicle Eldar was driving was involved in a collision with another car and an attempted ramming of one of the participants. Police emphasize that kidnapping has been ruled out. Senior police officials are personally overseeing the case and have committed all necessary resources to locate him.
