Sally Rooney Books Pulled From UK Sale Over Palestine Action Support
Sally Rooney books will no longer be distributed in the UK after the author pledged royalties to Palestine Action, designated a terrorist group in July 2025.

Sally Rooney books have been pulled from sale across the United Kingdom following the author's support for the Palestine Action group. Faber & Faber confirmed that her works will no longer be distributed in the UK, as the Irish novelist pledged her royalties to the activist organization, which was designated as a terrorist group in July 2025.
Palestine Action has targeted defense contractors and military facilities linked to Israel, including sites belonging to Elbit Systems. The designation followed a high-profile break-in at a Royal Air Force base. Rooney stated she accepts the consequences while remaining based in Ireland, where the group is not proscribed.
While existing physical copies in bookstores remain available, digital editions have been removed from British platforms. International sales outside the UK are unaffected by this mutual decision between the author and her publisher.
