Top market leaders in urban renewal revealed
Which companies dominate the urban renewal sector? New data shows that a number of key players control the market in the Sharon area.
Which company is the most powerful in the field of urban renewal in Israel? It was recently revealed that the two largest companies in the 'pinui-binui' (evacuation and construction) sector are Aura and Azorim. The gap between Aura and its competitors is significant: the company not only holds the top position in the country but also leads others by a substantial margin.
In the 'building renewal' (ithadshut binyanit) sector, which replaced the TAMA 38 program, the dominant companies according to Dun & Bradstreet data are Ofek Holdings, Anshei Ha'ir, and Eco City. In Tel Aviv, Anshei Ha'ir maintains the lead.
An analysis of other regions reveals varying levels of activity. We examined the number of projects in selected cities across the southern Sharon area, evaluating the number of projects pending building permits and those occupied before 2025.
In Herzliya, real estate giant Ashtrom holds third place. The company previously completed a project with 45 housing units and currently has 6 such projects underway.
In Ramat HaSharon, the situation is different: T.P. Construction Company is managing 13 projects, a relatively high number. Well-known developer Gabay Group is also active in the city with 4 projects, one of which is already occupied.
In Ra'anana, Kidar Mivnim dominates the market. The company has a total of 62 projects, with 29 pending permits and 2 projects completed before 2025. Rotem Shani is managing 4 projects, having completed 2 previously. Boni Binyan holds a portfolio of 17 projects.
In Kfar Saba, Kidar Mivnim is managing 35 projects, 20 of which are awaiting permits, confirming the company's extensive footprint in the city. The developer previously occupied 2 projects totaling 57 housing units.
