Chaos has erupted in the management of Hapoel Tel Aviv. CEO Tzahi Reichenstein may end his tenure at the club following disagreements with the new chairman, Oren Hasson, who was appointed just a month ago after previously serving as chairman of the Israel Football Association and CEO of the League Administration. Sources within the club testify that the lack of consensus regarding management strategy has led to a deep rift, and it appears the two cannot work together. Ultimately, owner Ofer Yannai will decide the future of Reichenstein, who has been summoned for a hearing.
Reichenstein, 44, has served as CEO of Hapoel Tel Aviv since September 2024, following 15 years in senior positions at leading companies. If a change in leadership occurs, Tomer Yaron, the current CEO of Hapoel Be'er Sheva/Dimona, is expected to step into the role. Yaron, 51, has managed the southern team since 2016, overseeing all club departments, including the women's team, the youth academy, and the development squad.
