"Restoring security to the North": The 2026 Galilee Conference takes place today in Safed

The conference will bring together senior officials and opinion leaders from the political and security establishment, local government, civil society, and the media to discuss key issues concerning the future of the North and the Galilee. Lilach Shoval, media personality and military correspondent for Israel Hayom, will moderate the event.

During the conference, the "Galilee Honoree" award will be presented to Mrs. Raya Strauss for her many years of service to the region and her contribution to strengthening the economy and industry in the North.

The conference will address the security and civil challenges of the North, strengthening the sense of security among Galilee residents, civil resilience, and the steps required for the continued development and prosperity of the region.
