Maccabi Netanya Owner Ross Kasten Nets $4.4B Following SpaceX IPO Surge
Maccabi Netanya owner Ross Kasten's investment firm, Aliya Capital, saw its SpaceX holding surge 1,800% to $4.4 billion, following a $240 million early bet.

Ross Kasten, owner of the Maccabi Netanya football club and head of Aliya Capital, has achieved one of the year's most remarkable investment successes. According to Brazilian media reports, his investment firm is posting astronomical returns thanks to an early-stage investment in Elon Musk's SpaceX.
Reports indicate that the fund originally invested a total of $240 million in SpaceX prior to its public trading debut. Following the colossal public offering of the aerospace giant—marking one of the largest market debuts in recent months—the value of Aliya's investment skyrocketed to approximately $4.4 billion, representing a staggering surge of about 1,800%.
Simultaneously, Kasten is launching a new investment fund aiming to raise between $250 million and $400 million, primarily from affluent families. The fund seeks to capitalize on exclusive access to companies led by alumni of the legendary PayPal Mafia, including tech icons such as Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, and Reid Hoffman. Seventy-five percent of the fund's capital is earmarked specifically for ventures tied to this network.
The firm's existing portfolio already features prominent global technology and artificial intelligence giants, including OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, robotics firm Figure AI, alongside advanced technology companies Anduril and Lightmatter. The strategic target for Kasten and Aliya Capital is to reach an unprecedented $15 billion in assets under management within five years.
Kasten acquired ownership of Maccabi Netanya in the summer of 2025 from Eyal Segal, marking his second season at the helm of the club. Netanya supporters now hope that the owner's phenomenal financial success will translate into heightened investments in the squad and long-term club development.
