Rom Braslavsky: "I have a problem with 'toy' rabbis who disrespect our Torah"

The storm surrounding the wedding of Shahar Taboch refuses to subside. After Rabbi Raphael Yonatan Polisook clarified that he has already married 80 same-sex couples and does not regret it, hostage survivor Rom Braslavsky attacked him in a confrontation. The rabbi responded: "To imply that I do this for money is a shame."

The storm surrounding the wedding of singer Shahar Taboch is reaching a new peak. Rabbi Raphael Yonatan Polisook, an openly gay rabbi who previously shared about the conversion therapy he underwent, sparked sharp criticism online after officiating the wedding of the singer and actor. In the program "HaTzinor," the rabbi clarified that he does not regret it: "I have already married 80 same-sex couples; they are not the first and will not be the last."

The one who chose to sharply attack the move is hostage survivor Rom Braslavsky, who wrote on social media: "I have no problem with gays, I have a problem with 'toy' rabbis who disrespect our Torah like this. Moses our Teacher is ashamed of this pathetic 'rabbi' and his actions."

Rabbi Polisook did not remain indifferent and responded to him: "Dear Rom, it is very painful that you chose to use such words towards me. I act for the sake of Heaven. To say that I act out of disrespect for the Torah and to imply that I do this for money is simply a shame."

Braslavsky did not remain in debt and summarized the commotion from his perspective: "You should be ashamed of yourself, same-sex intercourse is a great sin in the Torah and you support it. In your place, I would consider a million times whether to even be proud of the low and despicable act you have committed."
