Religious Zionism Outlines Ministerial Demands Ahead of 2026 Elections
The Religious Zionism party has outlined its ministerial demands ahead of the October 2026 Knesset elections, targeting key portfolios including finance and education.

As the electoral campaign progresses toward the October 27, 2026 Knesset elections, the Religious Zionism party has outlined its ministerial demands for the next government. According to internal reports, the faction intends to claim the Ministry of Finance, currently held by party leader Bezalel Smotrich, alongside the Ministry of Education and the Negev and Galilee portfolio.
Tensions persist within the right-wing bloc, particularly given overlapping voter bases and competition with allied factions like Otzma Yehudit. Sources indicate that MK Zvi Sukkot or Settlement Minister Orit Strock are positioned as leading candidates for the education and regional development portfolios.
In an official response, the Religious Zionism party dismissed the reports as unfounded speculation, emphasizing that its primary focus remains securing a victory for the national camp. The party also reiterated its previous offer to Ofer Winter to assume a ministerial role, alongside initiatives for economic development and military recruitment reforms.
