Train Service Disruptions Planned in Haifa and Northern Israel for October
Train services across northern Israel and Haifa will be temporarily suspended on two Fridays in October for Nofit light rail construction, with free shuttles provided.

Train traffic disruptions are scheduled in Haifa and northern Israel on two Fridays, October 9 and October 16, due to infrastructure works for the 'Nofit' light rail project. Rail services will be suspended at all stations north of Haifa Hof HaCarmel, while free shuttle services will be operated by Israel Railways.
The temporarily closed stations include Haifa Bat Galim, Haifa Merkaz HaShmona, Meredit HaMifratz, Chotzot HaMifratz, Kiryat Haim, Kiryat Motzkin, Acre, Nahariya, Ahihud, Karmiel, Yokneam-Kfar Yehoshua, Migdal HaEmek-Kfar Baruch, Afula, and Beit Shean.
Israel Railways announced that the scheduled line closures will also be utilized to perform essential safety maintenance and track upgrades, minimizing the need for future service disruptions. Free shuttle buses will operate in both directions along key routes connecting northern hubs to Haifa Hof HaCarmel.
Regular bus lines in the region will also be reinforced, including Egged line 262 and Nativ line 271. Train services are set to resume normal operations following the conclusion of each shutdown on Saturday nights.
