Raid in Tayibe: Drugs, vehicles, and cash worth hundreds of thousands of shekels seized

The Samaria District Crime Fighting Unit in the Judea and Samaria District raided drug trafficking hubs in the city of Tayibe in the Sharon region and arrested six suspects. During the search, large quantities of drugs, vehicles, and tens of thousands of shekels were seized.

In a statement released on Wednesday, it was noted that as part of a covert investigation conducted over several months by investigators from the Samaria District Crime Fighting Unit, suspicion arose regarding systematic activity involving the trade and distribution of dangerous drugs such as ecstasy, hashish, and cannabis in the district's sector.

With the transition to the overt phase of the investigation, police forces operated simultaneously at several locations, in cooperation with detectives and officers from the Samaria District YASAM (Special Patrol Unit), the Tayibe station investigation unit, and fighters from the National Guard of the Border Police.

During the operation, six suspects were arrested, and dozens of boxes containing substances suspected to be various types of drugs, including cannabis and ecstasy, were located and seized.

Additionally, five vehicles with a total value of approximately 600,000 shekels were seized, and police investigators intend to request their forfeiture, along with about 25,000 shekels in cash, 21 mobile phones—some of which were allegedly used as operational phones—as well as jewelry and a DVR system.

The arrested suspects, residents of Tayibe in their 30s and 40s, were transferred for further investigation. Upon its conclusion, the police expect to bring them before a court and request an extension of their detention.

The police stated:
