Raid on Atlit beach: Police dispersed a rave and confiscated equipment

This week, police dispersed a rave that was held illegally on the beach in Atlit with hundreds of revelers in attendance. Forces that arrived at the scene stopped the event and detained the organizer and the DJ for questioning.
The event took place near the water line on the beach without appropriate licensing conditions. Officers from the Tirat Carmel station who arrived at the scene ordered the hundreds of people present to vacate the area immediately and stopped the music.
Simultaneously with the dispersal of the crowd, the two main suspects in managing the event were detained: the party organizer, a 51-year-old from Sha'ar Efraim, and the DJ, a 47-year-old from Tel Aviv. The forces confiscated the sound equipment that was operating at the site, the value of which is estimated at about ten thousand shekels.
The police note that parties held without safety permits put the public in real danger, and therefore the activity at the site was stopped immediately.
