Police Raid Apartment in Ramat HaSharon: Stun Grenades and Drugs Seized
Four military stun grenades and various types of drugs were discovered in a Ramat HaSharon apartment. A 43-year-old resident has been arrested, his detention extended until August 23, and the premises closed by administrative order for 30 days.
Four military stun grenades and various types of drugs were seized in a Ramat HaSharon apartment suspected of serving as a hub for criminal activity. The Tel Aviv District Police Commander signed an administrative closure order for the apartment on Thursday for a period of 30 days.
According to police, detectives from the Glilot station in the Yarkon district raided the apartment earlier this week as part of an operational activity. During the search, officers found four military stun grenades hidden on the premises, along with dangerous drugs in quantities suspected to be intended for distribution rather than personal use.
A 43-year-old resident of Ramat HaSharon was arrested and taken to the Glilot station for questioning. While the suspect is known to police, he has not been linked to any specific criminal organization at this stage. Investigators are currently working to determine the origin of the grenades and their intended purpose.
Following the discovery, officers from the Yarkon district licensing department moved to issue an administrative closure order in accordance with the law on restricting the use of premises. The order will remain in effect until September 18. The suspect’s detention was extended in court until August 23, and the investigation remains ongoing.
