Qatar Denies Reports Claiming US-Iran Talks Have Failed to Reach Deal
Qatar forcefully denied reports that its Prime Minister claimed US-Iran talks failed, calling the statements a deliberate distortion spread by fake accounts and media.

Qatar strongly denied on Saturday reports claiming that Prime Minister Mohammed Al Thani stated that the United States and Iran have failed to reach an agreement. According to Qatari officials, the fabricated claims were initially spread by fake social media accounts before being picked up by mainstream Arab media outlets.
The Qatari International Media Office stated that these reports misattributed statements to Al Thani. "The remarks of the Prime Minister were deliberately distorted by elements who benefit from the continuation of the war and instability in our region," the office said in an official statement.
"Many of these claims are propagated by fake accounts attempting to undermine diplomatic efforts and push for further escalation. This is a profound display of irresponsibility. He noted today that both parties continue to work on a deal, and Qatari mediators remain in coordination with the US and Iran to support ongoing talks," the message added.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Majed Al Ansari echoed the denial, stating: "These allegations are untrue and constitute a deliberate distortion of his remarks. We completely reject all attempts to mislead public opinion and undermine diplomatic efforts at this sensitive juncture. The dissemination of these claims serves only those who strive for the continuation of war and regional destabilization."
