It has become known to N12 that during police confrontations, one suspect denied the allegations, claiming the sexual contact was consensual. One complainant testified that consent was only present at the start of the meeting and that subsequent acts were non-consensual. The suspects' detention has been extended until the beginning of the week.
First publication: A dramatic development occurred on Wednesday in the investigation into the rape of several girls from the north. It has become known to N12 that confrontations were held at the police station between the suspects and the complainants, where the parties were asked to address the versions provided in their testimonies directly.
According to information obtained by N12, one of the suspects denied the allegations during a confrontation, claiming the sexual contact took place with full consent. Conversely, the complainant stated that, in her view, consent existed at most only at the beginning of the meeting, and that subsequent sexual offenses were committed against her without her consent.
The incident took place last Tuesday, when the girls, residents of the north, arrived for a social meeting with the suspects at an apartment in the Emekim region. During the meeting, the alleged acts of rape were committed. Following the encounter, the girls filed an official complaint with the police. Approximately one day later, as reported by N12, police arrested three suspects—two minors and one adult.
Advocate Nadav Gringold, defense attorney for one of the suspects, stated:
"The suspect I represent, a minor himself, admits to having sexual relations with one of the complainants and denies that they were forced, asserting they occurred with full consent. The girl told him she was his age and initiated the sexual contact from the start."
The detention of the suspects has been extended until the beginning of the week.
