At the beginning of the week, fighters from the Southern District Unit (Yamaz) and prison guards at Eshel Prison carried out a proactive operational search, during which dozens of prescription pills were located. According to the Israel Prison Service (IPS), the pills were concealed in bags inside a coffee container in an attempt to smuggle them into the facility without raising suspicion.
During the operation, an iron rod was also seized, which, according to the IPS, is used as a weapon. Zoziashvili, who is defined as a dangerous prisoner, was brought to a disciplinary hearing following the incident, and the findings were transferred for further investigation.
