For the first time since his return: Avitan Or in a chilling post about October 7th

Avitan Or attended a music festival for the first time since his abduction and shared a chilling post today, Thursday, in which he described his feelings:

"Last time, I found myself in a dark tunnel, cut off from the world. This time, I stood under beautiful skies, surrounded by music, people, life, and light. I thought that returning to a festival would be the moment the circle would close — I never imagined how much it would really be so."

According to Or, during the festival, he received news that one of the terrorists who kidnapped him had been eliminated. "It was a reminder of how deep into the darkness I was and how far one can reach if one never stops fighting," he wrote.

Later, he recounted a conversation where he was told that if he attracts positive energy, good things will follow. "I don't believe in that; after everything I've been through, I've learned that good doesn't just come by itself," he said. The hostage survivor shared insights gained throughout the two hardest years of his life:

"Good comes when you fight for it. When you take one more step forward, even when the darkness surrounds you from every direction."

Or revealed a glimpse of the cover of the book he is currently finishing, which describes his inconceivable experiences in captivity: "I realize again and again that I am not just telling my story — I am still discovering it. Time continues to reveal new layers, new insights, and meanings that I could not see before."

In conclusion, he noted: "At this rate, I'm not sure I'll ever finish writing the book or if life will just continue to add new chapters to it. Either way, it is already in its final stages, so in not too long, I will have no choice but to stop writing. By the way, the festival was just crazy."
