Israel Cuts Online Passport Fees in Winter Promotion Starting November
Israel's Population and Immigration Authority launches its winter passport discount starting November 1, 2026, offering online savings of up to 105 NIS for adults through February 2027.
The Population and Immigration Authority is reintroducing its winter discount rate for Israeli passports starting Sunday, November 1, 2026. The promotional pricing will remain available for four months, through February 28, 2027, offering significant savings for adults and minors renewing their travel documents online.
Under the winter promotion, the online passport fee for adults over 18 is set at 185 NIS, down from the standard online rate of 290 NIS, representing a savings of 105 NIS per person. For minors, the fee drops from 145 NIS to 110 NIS, a savings of 35 NIS per child. For a typical family of four, total passport renewal costs will fall from 870 NIS to 590 NIS.
Additional discounts are available for eligible populations, including mandatory soldiers, reservists, and national service volunteers, who may qualify for a reduced fee of approximately 90 NIS subject to digital verification. The discount applies exclusively to payments made through the Population and Immigration Authority website or digital kiosks, while in-person branch payments remain ineligible.
Applicants are not required to complete their in-person biometric appointment before the promotion ends. Those who pay the reduced fee online by February 28, 2027, have until April 30, 2027, to visit a branch and finalize the issuance process. Appointments must still be booked in advance via the Govisit system, and replacement passports for lost or stolen documents also feature proportional winter discounts.
