Israel Police will conduct a nationwide traffic enforcement operation on Wednesday, deploying hundreds of officers and aerial units to combat life-endangering violations and aggressive driving.
Israel Police will launch a nationwide intensified traffic enforcement operation on Wednesday across urban and intercity roads to combat life-endangering traffic violations and aggressive driving. Hundreds of police officers and patrol vehicles will be deployed throughout the country, utilizing motorcycles, specialized cameras, drones, and the police air unit.
According to the official statement released by the Israel Police spokesperson division, the operation will run from early Wednesday morning until late at night, covering both intercity highways and municipal thoroughfares from the north to the south of the country.
Targeted Enforcement and Special Units
The intensified enforcement activity will focus on high-risk roads mapped by the Traffic Division Research and Development Department. Police will target reckless driving and severe traffic offenses, with particular emphasis on new drivers, heavy vehicle operators such as trucks and buses, and two-wheeled vehicle riders.
All units of the Traffic Division will participate in the operation, including the National Motorcycle Patrol, the National Traffic Police, and the Heavy Vehicle Unit—the only unit of its kind in Israel—which will deploy along the entire length of Highway 6. Additionally, the Enforcement Equipment Department will issue digital citations.

Aerial Surveillance and National Road Safety
The operation will also involve the Israel Police Air Unit, which will document life-endangering traffic violations from the air, alongside tactical drone surveillance. Hundreds of officers, patrol cars, and police volunteers will participate in the nationwide road safety effort.
This initiative is part of an ongoing national campaign to curb road fatalities. The Traffic Division is currently conducting a joint operation with the National Road Safety Authority titled «Committed to Life», a comprehensive national program featuring additional traffic patrol vehicles operating across Israeli roads.
