Police Solve Murder of Janis Yushbayev at Caesarea Gas Station
Israeli police solved the murder of Janis Yushbayev in Caesarea, filing a prosecutor's statement against 54-year-old suspect Doron Weizmann.
Police announced today that they have solved the murder of 41-year-old Janis Yushbayev from Or Akiva, who was shot dead last month at a gas station in Caesarea. Following the conclusion of the investigation, a prosecutor's statement was filed against the main suspect, 54-year-old Doron Weizmann from Moshav Hazon, who has a criminal record and has previously served prison sentences.
The investigation was launched on August 23 following a report of a shooting at the gas station, where medical teams pronounced Yushbayev dead. Investigators from the Coastal District Yamar conducted a covert and overt investigation using technological, intelligence, and forensic tools.
Police stated that several suspects were arrested during the probe, but all were released except for the gunman. The Haifa District Prosecutor's Office is expected to file a formal indictment and request detention until the end of proceedings in the coming days.
