Police: Fire in Arab structure near Beit Amra caused by short circuit

This morning, a report was received in the Judea and Samaria District regarding a suspicion of intentional arson of a residential structure in the Beit Amra area. There were no casualties in the incident. Following the report, police officers from the Hebron station, a forensic investigator from the Judea and Samaria District, and a fire investigator from the Judea and Samaria Fire and Rescue Authority arrived at the scene.
The forces entered the area under the protection of the IDF and conducted an examination to determine the circumstances of the fire. After collecting the findings, the investigators determined that the source of the fire was an electrical failure that caused a short circuit.
In addition, according to the police, no traces of accelerants were found at the scene. The findings contradict the claim of the local residents, according to which a number of Israelis were involved in setting fire to the structure during the night.
The police stated that the investigation is ongoing.
