Police are examining the potential involvement of Knesset member Yitzhak Kroizer and Otzma Yehudit party CEO Itiel Neyman following a violent incident in Mitzpe Yeriho roughly a week and a half ago, in which three police officers were injured.

The violent altercation erupted during an operational activity when undercover police attempted to arrest a suspect accused of a prior assault earlier that day. The suspect fled toward a memorial gathering, where a clash broke out between settlers and law enforcement forces. A Yasam officer suffered a broken nose, a patrol officer broke his hand, and an undercover police vehicle was slashed with a knife. Following the incident, National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir arrived at the scene, with a police officer alleging he acted aggressively and dismissively toward police. Ben Gvir denied the claims, stating he merely happened to be there for the memorial.

Both Kroizer and Neyman have denied any wrongdoing. Following the conclusion of the preliminary review, authorities will determine whether to summon them for questioning or to provide open testimony.
