Three residents of the South were arrested in Haifa after a search of their vehicle revealed over 6 kg of a substance suspected to be hashish and hundreds of ecstasy pills, allegedly intended for distribution. The suspects were apprehended during a proactive police operation at the entrance to the city, and the court extended their detention until Sunday, August 30.
In an official statement, the police spokesperson noted:
«As part of the ongoing fight against the drug scourge, officers from the Haifa station conducted a targeted operation at the city entrance. During the inspection of a suspicious vehicle, a large quantity of suspected narcotics was discovered and seized. The three suspects, all residents of the South, were arrested for questioning and subsequently remanded in custody. The court granted the police request to extend their detention until August 30, 2026. The Israel Police will continue to act with determination against those involved in drug offenses to prevent distribution and maintain public safety».
