More than 320 buildings and employee benefits: An investigation into the secret apartments of KKL
Yossi Mizrahi spoke on 103fm about an investigation that examined a pool of more than 320 buildings owned by KKL. According to him, subsidized apartments are rented to employees, alongside allegations of internal benefits, appointments, and family ties within the organization.
Yossi Mizrahi, investigative reporter for 'HaMevaker' ('The Auditor') on the central edition of 'Channel 12 News', our colleague at Radio Tzafon and host of 'Had VeHalak', spoke with Anat Davidov on 103fm about the investigation into the secret apartments of KKL (Jewish National Fund).
"KKL has a pool of apartments, more than 320 buildings across the country," he said. "The question is how can one get an apartment there and at what price? How can one even reach this pool? We found those who do use these apartments. In general? KKL employees are aware of this secret, and the employees of the strong, militant, and Likud-affiliated KKL workers' committee are exploiting this benefit."
"We will be able to see in the 'Auditor' episode how apartments that look simple but are cheap are rented to KKL workers' committee employees and how they pass the apartments from one to another," Mizrahi noted. "There are other internal benefits that KKL employees enjoy, and we have broken down KKL into several layers, one of which is a series of appointments of senior officials, relatives of senior Histadrut figures, who suddenly start working at KKL."
Mizrahi continued: "We see first-degree relatives of Likud MKs and ministers moving to work at the Jewish National Fund. On the other hand, one can see people connected to KKL families, mainly to the committee, moving to the other side in the Histadrut, such as the Union of Twin Cities."
"We are talking about a total of 320 buildings, in places like Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa, which are the main ones. We dealt with Tel Aviv, where prices are very high," he said in conclusion.
